River Facts
The Yangtze River is China’s largest River its also known to be the cradle of Chinese civilization. The Chinese think it is the most famous name such as Chang Jiang (long river). They have an old saying that says “If you haven’t traveled up Chang Jiang, you haven’t been anywhere.” The river meets with the Three Great Gorges and has the Three Great Gorges Dam. The Yangtze River has a major mean of transporting but a beautiful scene. There are sometimes whirlpools, rocks and wildy fluctuating water levels that achieved legendary status. The river has safe paths to go on a cruise.
Weather
Weather in September, April,may, and October are cool and comfortable. If you went on a cruise the best time to go would be in the Spring or Autumn. In the winter the prices are dropped to go on a cruise because the water is lower and you don’t get to see much of the scenery.
Down Stream and Up Stream
The river downstream is faster to ride because of the streams motion of the water, And the speed of going up the stream is much slower and longer because the wind pushes against the water currents downstream.
