Costa Rica
Catch a wave
Costa Rica is known for its Huge waves but also its continues waves all year long! A surfers paridise, Costa Rica has been the top surf spot for many years now! The diffrence between waves and surfing is that if you didnt have any waves there is no way you could surf. Most surfers look for head-high surfing waves that are tremendously big! Something that makes a great surfing wave is the wind. The greater the wind speed the larger the wave! Surfers love the big waves that form in the middle of the ocean. To catch these bigger waves they have to paddle alot faster to catch up with it. Surfers ride the unbroken part, or the wall of the wave. They do this because as a surfer they want to stay just in front of the white part of water. Conditions that surfers avoid are bad wheather and shallow water, such as a reef underneath you. You want to avoid these because you could end up being killed or severly hurt! The dangers of surfing are sharks, sandbars, and being drownded by the water.
