Tsunamis In Jamaica
Today, Jamaica is at a higher rate for a tsunami to hit there, because of the earthquake in Haiti. Now, there are steps to take to make sure everyone is safe and there are no injuries. Many tsunamis are very deadly, so these steps will help save lives and will help families hope for a better life. Are you really prepared? To be prepared for a tsunami in Jamaica there are several ways to stay safe. Here is how you can be prepared for a tsunami:

- If you want to keep your family safe, be sure to store food.
- Make sure to have a medical kit on hand so you can take care of little things such as scrapes and bruises.
- If you are going to move onto a coastal line, you can put an elevation lift under your house,so if a tsunami did hit your house will not get as flooded as easily.
- When the warning sounds, be sure to put all of your keepsakes into storage so they will not get ruined.

- If there is not enough damage to cave you in your home, go to a nearby medical assistance center.
- If you have other family members that were in the home when the tsunami hit, you should go see if they are okay.
- If you are injured, try to find the nearest person to help you to get to the nearest phone or nurse.
- If you get trapped, and not injured, try to find an object to get the ruble off of you.
