Tsunami of Japan
The tsunami of Japan happened on March 11, 2011. Dr. Lauterjung is a German reasercher who develops tsunami warnings. The tsunami was 250 miles per hour and 400 killometers from Sendai, Tokyo. Some people thought that the tsunami warning failed. It did not fail at all, Japan is known for having the best warning system.
What would you do if there was a tsunami on its way to your town?
If you follow the steps I showed you, you should stay safe. 15,839 people died, 5,950 were injured, and 3,642 are still missing.
The steps to take during a tsunami are:
1. If there is an earthquake, there is going to
a tsunami on its way.
2.Then get away from any areas that
contain water.
3. Listen about the weather and watch any
T.V. news to figure what is happening.
