Before- Have a plan know what to do ; you should also prepare a pack or kit with food, water, batteries, flashlight, cloths, blankets, and pictures of everyone in the family. You should have a kit in your house as well as your car and work. You should NOT go to the shore because you think it is safe after the first wave it is not safe no matter what. You can’t out run the speeds of a tsunami. And always listen to the warnings.If you live on the coast you need to evacuate.
During the tsunami- Stay uphill, away from the shore. Keep your family and you in a safe place with your safety kits.
After the tsunami : gather your group and stay together: listen to the people in uniform.
The government will: send out tsunami warnings: they will also plan for a evacuation of the area in the affected area. Then after the tsunami the government will plan a clean up and rescue. If you know a member of your group is missing ask the people in authority whether they are troops or a rescue squad if they have seen the missing person and give out their picture. if no one is missing stay together and listen to the rescue teams.
