Kalabagh Dam
Water flowing through the Kalabagh Dam
Located on the Indus River the Kalabagh Dam is in controversy because there is not enough water for a dam to be needed. According to calculations it could be dry every 4 out of 5 years. There is also not enough land that can be cultivated for it to be useful. The land that can be cultivated is less than the land that is already cultivated. I believe that the dam should not be there because it will be dry and it will not cultivate enough land. I do not think it should not be there. With a height of 11000 feet and covering an area of 164 square miles it will provide hydroelectricity. With this dam there could be less water in the Sindh.
